This 2-day itinerary offers a well-planned temple visit covering the major spiritual landmarks of Ujjain.
Arrive in Ujjain where our representative will pick you up from your desired location such as the railway station, hotel, or bus stand. After a brief introduction to the tour, begin exploring the sacred temples of the city.
Visit Mahakaleshwar Jyotirlinga Temple, one of the twelve Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva and the most important spiritual attraction of Ujjain. The temple has immense religious significance and draws devotees from all over India.
Later proceed to Kal Bhairav Temple, dedicated to the fierce form of Lord Shiva who is believed to be the guardian deity of the city.
Continue to Ram Ghat on the holy Shipra River, one of the main ghats where devotees perform rituals and witness the peaceful evening aarti.
In the evening visit Harsiddhi Temple, a famous Shakti temple known for its spectacular night aarti and illuminated lamp towers. Overnight stay in Ujjain.
After breakfast, continue the sightseeing tour of Ujjain, a city that has been an important religious and cultural center since ancient times and was once ruled by the legendary king Vikramaditya.
Visit Mangalnath Temple, a temple believed to mark the birthplace of the planet Mars according to Hindu mythology and also associated with ancient astronomical studies.
Next visit Sandipani Ashram, the ancient gurukul where Lord Krishna and Balarama studied under Guru Sandipani.
Continue to Chintaman Ganesh Temple, one of the oldest temples dedicated to Lord Ganesha and believed to remove worries and obstacles from devotees’ lives.
You may also visit Gadkalika Temple, a revered temple dedicated to Goddess Kali and associated with the great Sanskrit poet Kalidasa. After completing the sightseeing, drop at your desired location in Ujjain such as the railway station, hotel, or bus stand.
