Janmashtami, famous for being Lord Krishna's birthday, sees the temple brightened by the performance of the milk, water, and curd bathing rituals alongside the decorations.
During the Shravan month, the deity of Lord Krishna is seated on a well-decked swing (Hindola) that brings in a multitude of devotees.
This 13-day festival includes Krishna and Radha sitting on swings dressed with diamonds, the flowers, and garlands representing the divine enjoyment and conjunction.
Just 5 minutes away from the temple, Vishram Ghat at the Yamuna River conducts the enchanting Yamuna A that is performed at 6:00 AM and 7:30 PM every day. This evening aarti is equally preferred by devotees and tourists, making it a must-watch event.
The most suitable time for you will be from October to the middle of March, when the weather is not hot at all. The summer in Dwarka is very hot because of the maximum temperature, so it is better to have darshan time early in the morning or in the evening.
