Temple Hours and Entry Fee

From dawn to dusk, the temple welcomes every devotee.

Entry Fee: Free for all.


General Darshan Timings:


• Morning: 5:00 AM – 12:00 PM

• Evening: 4:00 PM – 9:30 PM


Aarti and Ritual Timings:


• Mangala Aarti: 5:30 AM

• Bhog Aarti: 12:00 PM

• Sandhya Aarti: 8:00 PM

• Shayan Aarti: 9:00 PM


Note: Timings may change somewhat on festivals or special occasions.


Historical and Architectural Significance

A rich heritage dating back through the ages with a glorious amalgamation of North Indian Nagara-style architecture is what characterizes the Omkareshwar Temple. Located on an island which is shaped like the sacred ‘Om’ symbol, it has both spiritual and geographical significance. The inner sanctum possesses the revered Jyotirlinga which is believed by devotees to have been self-manifested (Swayambhu).
